What is arms liposuction and why you should get it done?

What is the procedure of Arm Liposuction?

- On the day of your surgery, the area that needs fat removal will be marked with a marker.
- You will be operated under general or local anesthesia depending on the condition of your arms, your height and weight, and your personal preference.
- You will be unconscious at the time of your surgery if you opt for general anesthesia and if you opt for local anesthesia then you will be awake during the surgery but will not be able to feel any discomfort due to the numbing effects of local anesthesia.
- With the help of a small puncture hole in your arms, a device called a cannula will be inserted that will melt the fat with the help of a laser or ultrasound or microraire technique.
- The melted fat from the arm will be removed with the help of a suction device.
- After the removal of fat, a dressing will be applied to the area of your puncture hole.
What precautions do you need to follow after your arm liposuction?
- Even though there is relatively little recovery time needed after Arms liposuction, you still need to give your body time to recover and rest.
- For a smooth recovery without complications, you should abstain from alcohol consumption and smoking.
- Keep the dressing intact for at least 3 days.
- Following your procedure, you shouldn't take aspirin or ibuprofen because these drugs are known to thin the blood, which could lead to difficulties during surgery.
- For two months, you must wear a compression garment to protect the surgically repaired area.
- To hasten the healing process, you might need to take a 7-day course of medication that consists of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and antiacids.
- After the removal of fat, a dressing will be applied to the area of your puncture hole.
- To allow your body to recuperate without undue stress, avoid engaging in any kind of strenuous exercise or activities.
- For a speedy recovery, consume a well-balanced diet, get enough of sleep, and keep your body hydrated.
When is it possible to predict the results of arms fat reduction?
You can expect to see immediate benefits following surgery, but you should wait 3 to 4 weeks to achieve the ideal results because it takes time for the body to fully recover and for the swelling to subside.
